Ming Wang
A timeless fashion line designed for the modern day woman, Ming Wang was founded by Eddie
and Ming Wang in 2000. The third division of the Toula Corporation, Ming Wang caters to the
active woman dedicated to style, with the perfect blend of sophistication and practicality.
After leaving Taiwan in 1978 to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Eddie and Ming
began knitting in order to supplement their family’s income. Their determination and hard work
led to the birth of the Toula Corporation in 1986, headquartered out of their son’s bedroom in
Corona, Queens. Merging backgrounds in both art and apparel production, Eddie and Ming
Wang were successful in establishing Ming Wang as the upscale knitwear line that it is today.
Having been raised in a family with deep roots in the apparel business, the collection is inspired
by a long-standing family heritage. “Throughout my life, I have been fortunate to have been
surrounded by strong and creative women,” says Ming Wang. “It is through the musing of these
women that I have designed my collections, with the ultimate goal of creating clothes that would
meet their needs, while also making them feel and look beautiful.”
After leaving a career in finance in 2002, Steven Wang, eldest son of Eddie and Ming, joined the
Toula Corporation heading up the Ming Wand brand. And in 2005, after attending FIT, Eric
Wang, Eddie and Ming’s second son, also joined the Toula Corporation, which includes the
Ming Wang, Allison W and Toula collections.
The Ming Wang collection is also offered in plus size and is carried at Nordstrom and upscale
specialty department store chain, Von Maur. Additionally, Ming Wang is available at designer
boutiques across the country. The ideal brand for the on-the-go woman, Ming Wang is the
perfect fit for the following woman:
Busy mom on-the-go: Whether it is a demanding career, or a stay at home profession that keeps
